The Stafford County school system has tentatively scheduled swine flu vaccinations for later this month.
Shots for the H1N1 flu virus will take place at the county's five high schools from 5-8 p.m.
The schedule is:
North Stafford High School, Oct. 19
Brooke Point High School, Oct. 20
Stafford High School, Oct. 21
Colonial Forge High School, Oct. 22
Mountain View High School, Oct. 26.
Only students enrolled in Stafford public schools will receive shots. Each high school will have vaccinations for 600 people; students will receive shots on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parents should be in line with their children by 5 p.m. The division is asking that nobody arrive before 3 p.m.
As of last week, parents of 6,200 Stafford students have said they want their children vaccinated, said school spokeswoman Valerie Cottongim.
Stafford scheduled the flu shots in the evening so schools wouldn't have to send permission slips home with every student.
Updates or changes to the schedule will be posted online at staffordschools.net.
