Alma G. Nelson
Alma Geraldine Nelson departed this life peacefully Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. She leaves to cherish her memory one devoted daughter, LaVerne H. Johnson of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Ruth LaVerne Wiliams of Hampton and Sallie W. Fauntleroy of Aylett; one aunt, Mernice Young of Newtown; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Sparta, Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Vessells Family cemetery, King & Queen County.
