Kathleen Griffith Pylant, 57, of Kinsale died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009.
A graduate of St. Margaret's School and Radford College, Kathleen was a loving mother and a teacher for Westmoreland County public schools. She was an active member of Carmel United Methodist Church, Chantilly Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Lettice Lee Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII Century.
She is survived by her mother, Betty R. Horner of Montross; two sons, Colin M. Miller of Warrenton, and Devon S. Miller and wife Whitney of Alexandria; a brother, Leland H. Griffith Jr. and wife Anita of Friendswood, Texas; and her companion, Kevin Turgeon.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Carmel United Methodist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at the Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel.
