Sorry, McDonnell, your thesis is telling

Bob McDonnell claims he has changed his views since writing his master's thesis, but his record says otherwise.

Several bills that he supported or sponsored in 1997, 2002, 2003, and 2004 indicate that he favors allowing drug companies to exclude an option for contraceptives in their prescription-drug plan; would allow doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to refuse to provide birth control; and would define contraception as abortion.

Because past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior, Bob McDonnell is not the governor I want controlling the Health Department. He should not have the power to deny contraceptive access to women.

This is one reason I support Creigh Deeds, who trusts women to make their own decisions about their reproductive health.
