We endorse Braswell's bid for school board
The Spotsylvania Citizens Roundtable for Political Action has endorsed Baron Braswell for election as the Battlefield District's School Board member. Baron Braswell has an exemplary record of service to our country and to Spotsylvania County. As a former Army officer, leader, administrator, and worker in the private sector, his professionalism and experiences have prepared him well for this position. His primary focus would be on increased parental involvement, motivating students, and supporting teachers. He is committed to being a strong advocate for schools' budgetary needs. Mr. Braswell is equally concerned about increased teen violence, bullying, and the disrespectful behavior of some students. He has been addressing many of these issues through community service, mentoring, and creating a greater awareness of these growing problems through the annual Baron P. Braswell II Run Against Violence. He knows the pain and tragic consequences of senseless and random acts of teen violence, and wants to channel that pain into improving our schools.
