The Redskins' problems begin with Dan Snyder
I agree with Steve DeShazo. Daniel Snyder puts no limits on his money; he just throws it at players who have a good reputation ["Hey Snyder: Maybe fixing I believe that Mr. Snyder should look back on his past spending on players, and his financial problems would be answered. He searches for the players who have the most popularity. He does not need popularity on the football field; Most owners nowaday think that in order to get a team better, they need to fire the coach and start over. Mr. Snyder has probably thought a lot along these lines. There are good players all over the country who would hire on with the Redskins. I realize that Jim Zorn needs improvement and so does his team, but Daniel Snyder needs to stop spending so much money on players he does not need. Instead of Redskins fans abandoning their team, maybe they should still support the team but try to get Snyder to stop using his own thinking and instead collaborate with the coaches so they can hire the players they want. That'll turn things around
No coach worth his salt will come and work for the Munchkin -- because of his manic meddling. Marquee players might come, because of the payday, but the fact is, in pro football you need all 11 guys all firing at the same time. You can't buy chemistry. You can't rent passion. The last couple of seasons for the Skins proves that.
If you want to see how ownership can turn a large-market perennial competitor into a irrelavent cellar-dwellar. When was the last sell-out at Camden Yards? The fans will stop coming once they realize it's hopeless....
Deadskin fans can [*#@!] all they want - but NOTHING will change for their team until Snyder goes - and he won't sell the team until he loses money - as long as the suckers, 'err fans keep spending their money on skins tickets and paraphernalia - what you see is want you're gonna keep getting. Want a better team? Stop spending money on them!
with everything but your wallets. The only way Dan Snyder will listen to the fans is if they stop spending money on tickets, parking, concessions, and merchandise. Once he starts losing money, he'll make the changes that need to be made.
