Ortiz should focus on his own qualifications
I received a door hanger informing me of Paul Ortiz's campaign for Aquia District supervisor in Stafford County. It is unfortunate that he was not knocking on doors to meet the people who would potentially be voting for him.
I am confused about the focus of Mr. Ortiz's Web site. On it, I noticed a substantial amount of information about the incumbent, Paul Milde. If I needed information about Mr. Milde, I'd go to Mr. Milde's Web site.
I believe that if Mr. Ortiz had focused more on himself, I would be more inclined to consider voting for him. I see no alternative but to vote for the incumbent, because I see his focus is on the issues and not on what everyone else is not doing.

The letter says it is "unfortunate" that Mr. Ortiz wasn't knocking on doors of potential voters. Not true. Mr. Ortiz did in fact walk thru our community and he knocked on my door, shook my hand and introduced himself. I was watching the Redskins game in the background and we chatted about football for a few minutes before he left. Not saying I support him because I really haven't decided yet. Just trying to set the record straight.
And vote for Jon Myers

as our school board rep here in Aquia. What a change this will be over our last school board rep. Myers is the only one running up here that sees the whole picture for the county and schools, and not just focus on one school in the district.
