Who does Paul Milde represent? Not me.
I was disturbed by two signs at Aquia Harbour's entrance: "Veterans for Milde, Aquia Supervisor."
I am a 24-year Navy veteran. Mr. Milde's Web site shows nothing that would encourage veterans to vote for him. Quite the contrary.
The first initiative on his Web site is the redevelopment of Aquia Town Center. Is anyone in Aquia Harbour happy with this redevelopment? Does anyone want 287 more apartments there?
Mr. Milde does. He made the motion leading to Ramco's rezoning request approval, over the objection of several concerned residents.
Mr. Milde's business specializes in multifamily construction. Isn't this a conflict of interest?
Mr. Milde does not care about our needs in Aquia Harbour, nor is he concerned with the increase in traffic that 287 apartments will bring to Washington Drive.
I doubt many Aquia Harbour veterans will vote for Mr. Milde after they realize he is just looking out for himself.
Veterans should vote for someone with a proven record of integrity, someone who will represent our interests: Paul Ortiz.
