STAFFORD COUNTY

Interstate 95

Sunday-Thursday, 10 p.m.-4:30 a.m.; crews will be installing continuous traffic counters on I-95 southbound just south of Exit 143 (State Route 610/Garrisonville). Two lanes will be closed in the work zone.

Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; motorists should be alert to crews working on the shoulder of I-95 southbound just south of Exit 143 (State Route 610/Garrisonville). Crews will be installing continuous traffic counters. No travel lanes will be closed.

U.S. 1

Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; crews will be repairing the shoulder on southbound U.S. 1 from the Prince William County line to the Fredericksburg city line. This is a mobile operation and motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

State Route 3

Wednesday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; motorists should be alert to crews inspecting the Rappahannock River bridge between Exit 133 (U.S. 17/Falmouth) and Exit 130 (State Route 3/Fredericksburg). Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Interstate 95

Monday, 7:30 p.m.-4 a.m.; crews will be installing rumble strips on the shoulder of I-95 southbound between Exit 130 (State Route 3/Fredericksburg) and Exit 118 (State Route 606/Thornburg). This is a mobile operation and motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.; one lane will be closed to traffic on I-95 southbound just south of Exit 126 (U.S. 1/Spotsylvania). for construction of the new U.S. 17 bridge over I-95. There will be no lane closure between 3 and 7 p.m. each day.

Wednesday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.; one lane will be closed to traffic on I-95 southbound just north of Exit 130 (State Route 3/Fredericksburg). Crews will be installing weather stations at the I-95 bridge over the Rappahannock River just north of the Welcome Center.

Tuesday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; motorists should be alert to crews inspecting the I-95 bridge at State Route 208, between Exit 130 (State Route 3/Fredericksburg) and Exit 126 (U.S. 1/Massaponax). Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

Wednesday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; motorists should be alert to crews inspecting the I-95 bridge at State Route 608, between Exit 126 (U.S. 1/Massaponax) and Exit 118 (State Route 606/Thornburg. Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

Area interchange ramps

Monday-Tuesday, 5 a.m.-2 p.m.; crews will be placing stone along the shoulder on the I-95 ramps at Exit 130 (State Route 3/Fredericksburg) and Exit 126 (State Route 1/Spotsylvania). There will be short-duration ramp closures.

State Route 208

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; crews will be performing work along the shoulder of the Spotsylvania Courthouse Bypass. No travel lanes will be closed.

State Route 627

On Tuesday, the newly installed traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 627 and State Route 674 will be fully operational. The signal is currently in flashing mode. Motorists should be alert to the new traffic pattern at the intersection.

State Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue ongoing construction)

Motorists are reminded that all traffic has been shifted to the new lanes on Bragg Road between State Route 3 and the entrance to Central Park. The Bragg Road entrance to Giant remains open only to right turns in and out. This is an active work zone and motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment in this area.

Spotsylvania Town Centre entrance

Motorists are reminded to be alert to the change in traffic patterns on State Route 3 eastbound between Bragg Road and the entrance to Spotsylvania Towne Centre. The continuous right-turn lane on Route 3 eastbound between Bragg Road and the Towne Centre entrance may be periodically closed to through traffic, as well as the right merge lane exiting the Towne Centre to Route 3 eastbound. To avoid delays, Towne Centre patrons should use the entrance located on Bragg Road Extended. Access to businesses located on Route 3 eastbound between Bragg Road and the Towne Centre will be maintained at all times.

CITY OF FREDERICKSBURG

U.S. 1 bridge over State Route 3 (William Street)

Motorists are reminded that one lane on both northbound and southbound U.S. 1 at the bridge over Route 3 is closed to traffic for bridge rehabilitation. The speed limit in the work zone is 25 miles per hour.

Motorists are reminded that one lane on Route 3 westbound at the U.S. 1 bridge over Route 3 is closed to traffic in connection with the U.S. 1/Route 3 bridge renovation project.
