Samantha Lorraine Thornton, 21, of Spotsylvania County passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at her residence.
She was a student at Marshall University.
Samantha is survived by her mother, Medina Banks-Thornton, and her stepfather, Michael Collins, both of Spotsylvania; five sisters, Christina Thornton, Leilani Collins, Mia Collins and Shawnta Thornton, all of Spotsylvania and Nicole Thornton of Las Vegas; two brothers, DennisThornton Jr. of Kentucky and Joseph Gray Jr. of Spotsylvania; two godsisters, Elesha Jones-Pendleton and Timi Dandridge, both of Spotsylvania; two nieces; two nephews; and other relatives.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at A.L. Bennett & Son Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, in the Fletcher Bennett-Davis chapel at A.L. Bennett & Son Funeral Home.
