Frazier P. Breeden
Frazier Preston Breeden, 55, of Culpeper passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Culpeper Regional Hospital. Born Nov. 10, 1953, to Wilmer E. Breeden and Bettie Simpson Breeden in Culpeper, Frazier was devoted to his family, was a former assistant chief of the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department, serving the department for 22 years, coached in the C.Y.B. basketball league, was a past deacon of the Culpeper Baptist Church, and enjoyed Civil War history and relic hunting, and was a lover of animals and all things in nature. Frazier had a quality of grace that put everyone at ease as soon as you met him. Surviving Frazier are his wife of 30 years, Darlene T. Breeden of Culpeper, and his children, Tara B. Greenaway and her husband, Tom, and John E. "Jeb" Breeden, all of Destin, Fla.; his sister, Judy B. Matheney and her husband, Sam, of Fredericksburg; his nieces and nephew, Elizabeth Webb of Fredericksburg, Rebecca Clark of Killeen, Texas, and Taylor Bennett of Myrtle Beach, S.C., eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and his brother-in-law, Eddie Tolson and his wife, Wanda, of Culpeper. Preceding Frazier in death were his parents and a brother, John M. Breeden. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, with the Rev. John S. Farrar conducting the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department, 151 W. Davis St., Culpeper, Va. 22701, or to the Native Wildlife Rescue Inc., c/o Amo Merritt, treasurer, 5438 Sperryville Pike, Boston, Va. 22713-1722.
