Clara Clark
Clara Geraldine Helsley Clark, 83, of Frederick County died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Clark was born in Frederick County, the daughter of Rodney Benjamin Helsley Sr. and Nannie Elizabeth Helsley. She was a cafeteria worker with Shenandoah University in Winchester. Her husband, Preston Harvey Clark, whom she married on July 22, 1950, in Winchester, preceded her in death in 1991. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Leamer, and her husband, Lester, of Spotsylvania County; sons Wayne Clark and Scott Clark and his wife, Tammy, all of Winchester; four grandchildren, Lesley Sharp and her husband, Aaron, Stacy Leamer, Clark Shelton and Megan Shelton; three great-grandchildren, Tristan Sharp, Liam Crouse and Cohen Shelton; her sister, Charlotte Schrader, and brother, Rodney Helsley Jr., and his wife, Annabelle, all of Winchester. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg.
