Two men were charged with robbing a man in a Walmart parking lot late Thursday before going inside the store to shop, police said.

Fredericksburg police spokes-woman Natatia Bledsoe said the incident occurred in Central Park about 11:50 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old Spotsylvania County man, said he was confronted by two men.

One of the men threatened him with a large, black knife and demanded that he turn over his cash, the victim told police. The victim gave them $20, and the suspects fled on foot.

Bledsoe said the victim discreetly followed them and saw them enter the food entrance of the store.

Police arrived and went into a different entrance.

The suspects were coming out of the store through the entrance the officers went in and were arrested. It was not clear if the suspects bought anything.

The suspects were positively identified by the victim and were taken into custody without incident. The knife was recovered from one of the men's pockets.

Michael Marshall, 28, of Fredericksburg, and Brandon Mills, 18, of Spotsylvania, were charged with robbery. They were placed in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
