Why should I have to pay for the LOW dam?

Why should I have to pay for the LOW dam?

I have just recently found out that our trash dump is not part of Lake of the Woods' yearly assessment.

Among other things that I have to pay for separately (swimming pool, fitness center, golf, and so on), what am I paying for with my yearly money? Security, grounds keeping, rocks on the road ("road paving"), and a board that makes rash decisions.

An assessment of $1,200 is not getting me much. Now the board wants another $1,200 for the dam project, and what is that going to get me? I don't even live near the darn thing.
