RACSB forming new groups Date published: 11/1/2009
DARE to Be You-Rappahannock, a program of the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board, is forming several new groups in the area. The program, geared to families with children ages 2 to 5, offers a series of interactive workshops at which families learn communication, relationship and problem-solving skills. Workshops are led by experienced parent educators and include games and other activities. A family meal is provided at every session to enhance quality family time. There also are incentives for attending and completing the 12-week program. In Caroline County, meetings are under way from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays. Sessions run through Dec. 20. Meetings are at the Countryside Child Care Center at 8052 Prosperity Lane, Ruther Glen. In Stafford County, meetings will be held at Porter Library from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays.
