Stand up for your freedom--or you'll lose it
Obama and his minions are destroying U.S.

It is apparent that we have elected a real smooth-talking politician as president who, by his actions so far, seems intent on bankrupting America and establishing total government control.
He has surrounded himself with advisors (czars) who are socialists, revolutionaries, ex-cons, tax cheats, and union heavies. Surely Obama must know their history, so why did he appoint them as advisors? Does he also support their agenda?
Now Obama is trying to get us to buy into a government-run health care system. The elderly will greatly suffer if this is pushed through.
Common sense tells us that if up to 45 million more people are to be covered, we will not have enough doctors to handle this additional influx. Thus rationing of care will occur.
Don't count on Congress to come up with any workable plans. So many members of Congress are corrupt and too busy covering their own tracks. They have ignored the Constitution and their oath.
You know the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." The current saying appears to be, "You can lead members of Congress to the facts, but you can't make them think."
If they were thinking at all, we would not be in this mess.
We need to stand up for our country and our freedom or we will lose them both. Call your senators and representatives and let them know that we will hold them responsible if they don't uphold the Constitution.
There are three branches of government that are supposed to act as checks and balances. Right now, those checks and balances don't seem to be working.

I love this country and its people. However, none of us, including me, are perfect in any way and we never will be. The first thing we all must do, again, including myself, is to be honest to one's self. It is my humble opinion that our great people have become extremely hypocritical and self centered and it must change before we implode. Americans worry about their foreign enemies, our worst enemy that causes the most pain is the war amongst ourselves.

You need to vote next time. You know it and I know it. So does everyone else reading this. I know it is not a crime not to vote and there are 100 reasons not to. However, and if you look yourself in the mirror, you know I am right as do the rest of you. Can you imagine those those did not vote, getting that right taken away from them. Everyone get out and vote next time. It sends the right message to your children and does a body well.

most people don't pay because they don't want to. I said
that the IRS has the ability to identify who can pay & who
can't. Can't pay? Then the govt keeps the "loan" on the
books for when the sick person returns to work & arranges
a payment plan that is affordable. Heck, put a cap on the
liability if it's astronomical. It works & holds everyone
accountable. Decent people who aren't freeloaders would
have no problem with this arrangement.
Like I said b4, I hated to admit it, but

How can I go vote when there is no one to vote for? What good does that do anybody? I'm an independent so I have no need to support a certain party. I can understand your point about freedom, but isn't the war in Iraq more about oil than my freedom to vote? I have the right to excercise freedom of speech but I don't excercise that right every chance I get. And really, I don't mean to offend anyone, I just didn't feel strongly enough about either of them to vote. I know it's sad. :-(

so perhaps I have no right to speak, but if I were in Irag or Afghanistan, I'd sure have a hard time believing I was defending American freedoms if I knew 2/3 of the folks back home did not even bother to vote. If I had a child there, I'd want them home immediately. And if US wants any allies to help us there, then citizens need to demonstrate they take their freedoms seriously. If I were a foreign general, I'd send all my guys home, & let USA fight alone, if US citizens don't care more than that.
