Stand up for your freedom--or you'll lose it

November 3, 2009 12:36 am

It is apparent that we have elected a real smooth-talking politician as president who, by his actions so far, seems intent on bankrupting America and establishing total government control.

He has surrounded himself with advisors (czars) who are socialists, revolutionaries, ex-cons, tax cheats, and union heavies. Surely Obama must know their history, so why did he appoint them as advisors? Does he also support their agenda?

Now Obama is trying to get us to buy into a government-run health care system. The elderly will greatly suffer if this is pushed through.

Common sense tells us that if up to 45 million more people are to be covered, we will not have enough doctors to handle this additional influx. Thus rationing of care will occur.

Don't count on Congress to come up with any workable plans. So many members of Congress are corrupt and too busy covering their own tracks. They have ignored the Constitution and their oath.

You know the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." The current saying appears to be, "You can lead members of Congress to the facts, but you can't make them think."

If they were thinking at all, we would not be in this mess.

We need to stand up for our country and our freedom or we will lose them both. Call your senators and representatives and let them know that we will hold them responsible if they don't uphold the Constitution.

There are three branches of government that are supposed to act as checks and balances. Right now, those checks and balances don't seem to be working.
