The Rev. James H. Pierce, 62, of Beltsville, Md., died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md.
Mr. Pierce was the former pastor of First Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Dawn.
He is survived by his wife, Patrice Pierce; his mother, Gertrude Pierce; three sons, Trent, Robert and Michael Sr.; six daughters, Kimberly, Shawn, Adreka, Monique, Ashiya and Keisha; one brother and three sisters; 16 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Arm of the Lord Ministries, 2100 Airport Ave., Fredericksburg, with the the Rev. Robert Brown officiating and the Rev. Charles Baugham being the eulogist. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle.
Remains may be viewed from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal, and also one hour prior to Friday's church service.
