Nov. 7: Halloween Classic racquetball tournament, 8 a.m. at the Rappahannock Area YMCA. Cost is $30 for first event and $12 for second (30 player limit, two-event per player limit). All participants will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt. Information: Terry McLaughlin at 540/371-9622, ext. 1022.

Nov. 7: Fredericksburg Elks Lodge soccer shoot, 3-6 p.m. at Fredericksburg Field House. Open to boys and girls through age 13. Prizes will be awarded to the boy and girl winners in each of 4 age groups (U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14). For more information, call Ron Hicks at 540/847-3697.

Nov. 26: Friends of Micah/YMCA 5K Turkey Trot and Coker Orthodontics 1-Mile Yout Run (13 & under), 7:30 a.m. at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library. Entry fees: Youth walk $13 before Nov. 24 ($14 after, no race-day registration); 5K run walk $20 or $19 each for families of three or more if postmarked by Nov. 11 ($22 or $21 for families of three of more after, $30 race-day registration). Dec. 13: VA Runner Blue & Gray Half Marathon, 7:30 a.m. at VA Runner in Central Park. Cost: $35 until Nov. 28, $45, 5K race at 7:40 ($20 until Nov. 28, $25 thereafter). Register online at racetimingunlimited.org.
