Church coffee shop benefits orphans
A Locust Grove church just opened a coffee shop. All proceeds will benefit Lakeside Community Church's work with orphans in Indonesia. Coffee With A Cause will celebrate its grand opening today, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the new place on State Route 20. The shop will be closed tomorrow but will offer a community Bible study at 5 p.m. For details, visit coffee-cause.com.
Author to sign book at downtown shop
A local author will sign copies of her latest book, "When God Gets Physical," on Nov. 7, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Bejeweled Designs in downtown Fredericksburg. Carole Harris Barton's book details stories about personal connections with faith. The book features stories from area residents.
Concert tomorrow at Spotsy church
Spotsylvania Church of God will host Christian music artist Abi Lester tonight at 6 p.m. The free concert will feature testimony and songs from Lester. The church is at 12240 Five Mile Road in Spotsylvania County. For details, visit spotsychurchofgod.com.
Church will host women's seminar
