Census announces local managers

The U.S. Census Bureau has appointed a slate of managers for a new 2010 Census office in Fredericksburg. Rose Thomas is the local census office manager. She worked as a recruiting assistant in the 2000 Census and was assistant manager for recruiting in the Richmond office before being named to Fredericksburg.

Thomas lives in Caroline County and has 10 years experience in management.

Other new Fredericksburg office managers, all area residents, are:

Ken Morrison, assistant manger for field operations. He was a federal employee for 31 years. He joined the 2010 Census as an enumerator.

Stacy Moore, assistant manager for quality assurance, has 10 years experience in quality assurance and joined the 2010 Census as an enumerator.

Sharon Goode, assistant manager for administration, is a Realtor and a native of Culpeper County. She worked for Census 2000 as assistant manager for administration and for field operations.

Anne McWilliams, assistant manager for recruiting, has experience in the financial services, manufacturing and restaurant sectors.

Janette Hodnett, assistant manager for technology, served 24 years with the U.S. Army, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. She joined the 2010 Census as a crew leader assistant.

The Fredericksburg office at 4505 Carr Drive in the Jackson Square office complex supports 2010 Census operations in 13 counties: Caroline, Culpeper, Essex, King and Queen, King George, King William, Louisa, Madison, Orange, Richmond, Spotsylvania, Stafford and Westmoreland, as well as the city of Fredericksburg.
