Morris P. Decatur

Morris P. Decatur, 92, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in an Arlington hospital after an extended illness.

Mr. Decatur was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific with the United States Marine Corps. He retired from General Products and loved fishing and being on the water. He was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher at Fairview Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, and his son, Edgar, both of Fredericksburg.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Robert Sizemore officiating.

The family is being served by the staff of Mullins & Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel.
