Anyone who has been involved in an election campaign knows that it is a team effort.

Most of my team has been with me from the beginning four years ago, but there are new members who have stepped up and carried me through the process. I want to thank them for their perseverance and hard work.

I am committed to working very hard to improve the quality of life of the Garrisonville District residents of Stafford County.

I encourage feedback and comments. I strive to answer every correspondence, electronic or otherwise.

My opponent, Laura Sellers, and I shook hands and agreed that we would both run positive campaigns. I am proud to say that neither of us printed one negative comment in mailers, handouts, speeches, or TV or radio advertisements. The temptation is enormous, but we proved that it can be done.

I applaud Ms. Sellers for getting involved, standing up for what she believes, and actively encouraging young people to also get involved. She is very smart, and the sky is the limit on any future endeavor she elects to pursue.

Anyone who is considering running for public office in the future should weigh the heavy toll on the families of the candidates.

My wife has stood and worked beside me through hard times and sickness. She has kept me grounded and encouraged me to work hard, but to stay true to my values. I could never repay her for her commitment to me and our mutual cause.

Now the work begins again.

You stated that you want to work hard to improve the quality of life in your district. I thought you were elected to be part of a team to improve the quality of life for all residents of Stafford Co. I seems to me that if your attention is focused on your district, then there would be concern of division among board members. Are you a politican who only wants votes for next election, or are you looking out to help all of your Stafford neighbors? This goes for each member of the BOS!!!

Mark, you and your fellow board members have a difficult task of unding a lot of BAD DECISIONS made by previous county board members. Don't forget that the people are watching, and our expectations are high. The real work begins now. Ccongratulations to you and Paul Milde. Honesty, and hard work are always recognized and rewarded.

Mark, you are a leader people can get behind and you've accomplished a lot of good things. I am glad you are at the reins again.
