Toys for Tots ride set for Saturday

It's time to throttle up for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Poker Run and Ride 2009. Motorcyclists will meet Saturday at the Toys for Tots warehouse at 3619 Jefferson Davis Highway in Stafford. Registration is at 8 a.m.; the ride, to provide toys for underprivileged children, begins at 9.

Riders and passengers must bring a new, unwrapped toy or make a $20 donation. Among the stops will be Paddy's Steak House & Pub, Hard Times Cafe, Hooters, ending at Q Ball Cafe, with live music by Mainstreet. For more information, contact Roger Pearson at rpearson@freelance star.com.
