HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

The following organizations' schedules will be affected by Veterans Day today:

GOVERNMENT

Most city, state, and federal government offices will be closed today, but ABC stores will be open during regular hours.

TRASH SERVICE

Livingston Landfill and convenience sites in Spotsylvania, as well as the Belman Road Recycling Center and the regional landfill in Stafford, will be open normal hours. The curbside recycling collection normally done in the city will be delayed a day until Thursday, nor will there be any leaf collection today.

LIBRARIES

Central Rappahannock Regional Library and its branches will be open today. Caroline, Smoot, Orange and Culpeper libraries will all be closed.

MAIL SERVICES

Post offices will be closed. No delivery except Express Mail.

TRANSPORTATION

FREDericksburg Regional Transit will be running, but Virginia Railway Express will not. Quick's Bus Line will operate on a holiday schedule (one bus trip scheduled to Washington and another to Northern Virginia) and Martz Virginia will employ an abbreviated bus schedule as well.
