Gary W. Totten
Gary Wayne Totten, 67, of Fredericksburg died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Totten was born in Montgomery, W.Va., and attended college at West Virginia University Institute of Technology. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid reader and a NASCAR and New York Yankees fan. Survivors include his mother, Martha L. DeMark of Fredericksburg; two daughters, Pamela Madalone of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Tami Diehl of Hancock, Md.; a brother, Leslie L. Totten of Punta Gorda, Fla.; his sister, Jenny D. Staggs of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Laurel Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. Leslie Powers officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Memorial donations may be made to American Legion, Box 55, Fredericksburg, Va. 22404.
