SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Church of the Messiah, Episcopal, 12201 Spotswood Furnace Lane, will present a special stewardship sermon tomorrow and will kick off a food collection drive to benefit Hope House, a safe house for women and children in Fredericksburg. Gifts of food to be left in baskets provided in the narthex. Coffee hour will follow both the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services in the Fellowship Hall.

Spotsylvania Presbyterian Church, 11121 Leavells Road, will hold its Fall Haiti-Kenya Mission Benefit Yard Sale today, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., with Christmas boutique, yard sale, jewelry boutique, ornamental trees, baked goods and more. Rain or shine.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1107 Fredericks Hall Road in Bumpass, will hold its annual Brunswick Stew, Bake Sale and Yard Sale today, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. 804/448-4767.

Sylvannah Baptist Church, 8400 Courthouse Road, will celebrate the 142nd anniversary of the church tomorrow at 11 a.m. The anniversary message will be given by the Rev. Dennis Woodard, and music will be provided by the Mass Choir. A fellowship meal will be served following the morning worship.

The Men's Ministry of First Baptist Church of Love, 124 Bend Farm Road, will observe Annual Men's Day tomorrow at 3 p.m. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Arthur Werts of Second Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, accompanied by his congregation and choir. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m.

The Senior Missionary Ministry of Second New Hope Baptist Church, 3836 Summit Crossing Road, will celebrate Annual Day tomorrow at 3:30 p.m., with guest speaker the Rev. Walter Berrymanm pastor of St. John Baptist Church in Milford, accompanied by his Male Chorus, ushers, fellow missionaries and congregation. Dinner will be served following the morning service, starting around 2:15 p.m. Prayer and Praise Service will begin promptly at 3:15 p.m. All area missionaries are invited.

FREDERICKSBURG

Tower of Deliverance Church, 1808 Princess Anne St., will observe Annual Men's Celebration with a continental breakfast and "Man Talk" today at 8 a.m., and with services tomorrow at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., featuring area musicians. The theme is "Men in Motion: Facing 21st Century Challenges."

STAFFORD COUNTY

Falmouth Baptist Church, will hold a Women's Prayer Retreat today 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with a speaker, special music and time of testi-mony. Guests are welcome.

The church will also feature members of the Riverside Center cast of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" in a special musical "sermon in song" at the 11 a.m. worship service tomorrow. The message and the music will focus on the biblical story of Joseph, his faithfulness to God and his rise to power in Egypt after being sold into slavery by his brothers.

Berea Baptist Church, 28 Fleet Road, will hold a Thanksgiving dinner today at 5 p.m. in the annex. The ordination of Deaconess Lori Egan and Deacon Mark Groby will be held during the 11 a.m. service tomorrow.

CAROLINE COUNTY

Third Mount Zion Baptist Church, in Woodford, will have the Minister of Music, Brother Keith Armstead, in concert at the church today at 5 p.m.

Macedonia Baptist Church, 7187 Macedonia Road in Woodford, will hold a Women's Fellowship Conference Nov. 20 at 7 p.m., with speakers Tracey Slaughter and Valerie Martin-Stewart; and Nov. 21 at 9 a.m., with speakers Rita Lee and Amanda Braithwait.

Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Ruther Glen, will celebrate the 137th Church Anniversary tomorrow at 4 p.m., with special guest the Rev. Alfred Jones and the Mount Zion Baptist Church congregation from Triangle.

CULPEPER COUNTY

Hopewell United Methodist Church, 23557 Lignum Road, will host a ham and turkey dinner today from 5 to 7 p.m., featuring ham, turkey, stuffing, gravy, corn pudding, green beans, mashed potatoes, salads, rolls, beverages and desserts. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Ninety percent of the profits will benefit the parsonage upkeep and 10 percent will benefit area food pantries. Donations to food pantries are welcome.

KING GEORGE

Salem Baptist Church, in Jersey, will celebrate its Men's Day service tomorrow at 3 p.m. The pastor, the Rev. Leonard Bland will preach the 11:30 a.m. service. Dinner will be served following the morning service. The guest speaker for the evening service will be the Rev. Larry Finch from Antioch Baptist Church in King George, accompanied by his congregation.

First Baptist Church, 619 Jackson St., in Colonial Beach, will celebrate the Rev. David Cunningham's 16th pastoral anniversary tomorrow. GOSPEL SINGS/CONCERTS

The Lake of the Woods Church, will hold a "Making Joyful Noise" concert today at 7 p.m. in the worship center, featuring a zestful sing-along with Dale Wise, professional accordionist, vocalist and composer.
