Ruth Murray Burke
Ruth Murray Burke, 86, of Fredericksburg died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Hughes Adult Home, Fredericksburg. Mrs. Burke resided in Illinois until moving to Hot Springs Village, Ark., in 1985. She moved to the East Coast in 2003 to be closer to her sons. She enjoyed playing bridge and volunteering, as well as being active in the Lions Club and her church. Her husband, Lloyd Burke, whom she married in 1943, died in 1986. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Burke of Falls Run, Fredericksburg; Scott Burke of Trout Valley, Ill.; and Patrick Pinkson-Burke of Cornish, N.H.; four grandchildren, David Burke of Leesburg, Colin Burke of Algonquin, Ill., Shauni Pinkson-Burke of Truckee, Calif., and Tiana Pinkson-Burke of New York City; a great-grandchild Kathryn Burke of Leesburg; and a close friend and partner, Robert F.
