As a retired teacher (31 years), I find it almost impossible to believe that our country's legislators have not been able to recognize and fix the out-of-control health insurance industry.
Are they blind to the many who have no insurance or pay exorbitant premiums, as is the case in my house?
Aren't they embarrassed that we are one of the few democratic countries that does not take care of its own citizens?
Will we have to step over bodies in the streets before they finally recognize the problem, put aside their bipartisanship, and ignore the pressure of an ailing health industry that put profits ahead of their patients' well-being?
Don't all of our citizens deserve affordable health care? I believe they do, and
