Nine people in Westmoreland and King George counties were arrested yesterday in an early morning raid that authorities said targeted drug dealers.

Most of those arrested had been indicted by the Northern Neck Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury, said Westmoreland Sheriff's Maj. John L. Hoover.

The 6 a.m. raid was conducted by the Tri-County Task Force, composed of eight area law-enforcement agencies. Hoover said five residences were searched, and additional arrests and charges are likely.

Davon Gaston Hines, 18, of Colonial Beach was charged with two counts of distributing imitation crack cocaine.

Candice Nicole Mills, 24, also of Colonial Beach, was charged with child abuse and neglect for allowing children to be present when drug dealing occurred, Hoover said.

Aaron Early Holtzclaw, 26, of King George and Arlene Malave, 46, of Hague were both charged with possession of crack with intent to distribute.

Others arrested and charged with various counts of distributing crack and conspiring to do so, were: Steven Bernard Dudley, 53, of Colonial Beach; Derrick Donnell Jones, 25, Colonial Beach; Bonnie Henry Smith, 60, Colonial Beach; Donald Wayne Turner, 31, Colonial Beach; and Marshall Christopher Wilson, 34, Oak Grove.
