Dolores Carmen Torralbas, 79, of King George County went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in Fredericksburg.
She was born in New York City and was a graduate of Mary Washington College. After graduation, she was a teacher at James Monroe High School. She married and moved to Cuba until 1961, when she and her husband moved to Waldwick, N.J. She remained there for 32 years, first as a teacher, and then as a principal at Waldwick High School.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann T. Cocke and her husband, Thomas F. Cocke IV, of King George and Annette Torralbas of Vienna; four grandchildren, Ashley Dennison, Thomas F. Cocke V, Christopher Torralbas and Steven A. Cocke; one great-grandchild, Nathan L. Dennison Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben R. Torralbas; and her son, Ruben J. Torralbas.
A gathering of friends will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. All other services will be held at a later date in Waldwick, N.J.
