Nelson Nieves
Nelson Nieves, 57, of Stafford County died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Stafford Hospital Center. Mr. Nieves was born and raised in New Jersey. He served with the U.S. Marines in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Julia Nieves; his son, Nelson Nieves Jr.; his daughter, Julie Bermea; his brothers, Elpidio Nieves and Richard Nieves; his sister, Rosemary Figueroa; and two grandchildren, Jayleen and Julaina. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, in Quantico National Cemetery. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Covenant Funeral Service, 1310 Courthouse Road, Stafford. Online guest book at covenantfuneralservice.com.
