Jacqueline Hyde

Jacqueline Joyce Armell Hyde, 82, of Oak Grove passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Jacqueline was born in Warrenton and worked for the American Red Cross, and was a retired real estate agent.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 62 years, Stuart Ashby Hyde; her daughter, Bonnie Jean Martin of Yanceyville, N.C., and her husband, Forrest Martin; her son, Michael Ashby Hyde of Oak Grove and his fiancee, Terri Lee Newman; her brother, Richard Armell and his wife, Channing, of Basye; and her stepmother, Bernice Armell Baker of New Market. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Christin Michelle Umsted of Whitesboro, Texas, and her husband, David; Rachel Mallory Day and her husband Jeremy of Colonial Beach; and Seth Michael Hyde of Dahlgren. She was preceded in death by son Ronald.

A celebration of Jacqueline's life will be planned in the near future for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 4905 Radford Ave., Suite 209, Richmond, Va. 23230 or one's local hospice organization.
