Culpeper seeks help with two theft cases

The Culpeper County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate two break-ins that occurred last week.

Last Tuesday, someone broke into J&D Handyman Services at 5336 Rixeyville Road near Jeffersonton, vandalized an office and made off with more than $7,000 worth of hand tools, electronics and cash, according to Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Corey Byers.

Deputies believe the burglary occurred between 5 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday.

On Wednesday, deputies investigated a larceny at 19484 Bootsie Lane in Brandy Station. The resident there reported that various power tools were missing from his property. The victim said he last saw the tools on Monday, Nov. 16.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 540/727-7520.
