UPCOMING LOCAL BAZAARS AND FESTIVALS

Saturday, Nov. 28

Salem United Metho-dist Church annual Church Bazaar, 8 a.m., at 28123 Constitution Highway in Rhoadesville, with bake sale, white elephant room, craft room, re-gifting room, ham biscuits, hot dogs, homemade bean soup, barbecue and more. All proceeds go to missions.

Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 4-6

George Washington Birthplace Association, 1730 Popes Creek Road, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day, featuring books, candles, holiday cards, ceramic tea sets, Velati's candy, homemade ice-cream sandwiches, Colonial toys and games, live Colonial music and more. To rent a table, call 804/224-7895.

Friday-Saturday, Dec. 4-5

St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Orange, Friday, 6 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., featuring Christmas tree ornaments, snowmen, placemats, knitted hats and scarves, hand-painted items, quilts, white elephant room, vintage linens and crocheted bedspreads, and much more. Proceeds benefit the church community.

Saturday, Dec. 5

Annual Tops Craft Bazaar and Bake Sale, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at East Orange Ruritan building in Unionville, featuring wood and hand-painted crafts, holiday floral arrangements, wreaths, decorations, gift baskets, needlework, re-gift table, homemade candies and goods, and many inexpensive gifts, all under $20. Free candy canes for children.

St. Jude Catholic Church Christmas Bazaar, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., at the church, located at State Routes 22 and 208 between Louisa and Mineral, with crafters, vendors, bake sale and homemade food. Pictures with Santa are $5. There will also be a silent auction and raffle. All tables are indoors.

Saturday, Dec. 12

Courtland High School DECA Holiday Craft Fair and Santa Pancake Breakfast, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with more than 70 crafters. Admission is $1 for ages 12 and over, to be donated to Spotsylvania Fire House Number One. Breakfast tickets are $4 and can be reserved at CourtlandDECA @yahoo.com. For details, call 540/898-2069.

Ladies Auxiliary, FOE 4488, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at 1110 Courthouse Road in Stafford County, with homemade crafts, baked goods, raffles and food. Proceeds benefit various charities. To rent tables, e-mail
