Jerry J. Williams
Jerry Jacob Williams, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Williams was born Jan. 13, 1935, in Sikeston, Mo., a son of the late Lacy and Dorothy Glasner Williams. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Terry Williams. Jerry served two years in the Naval Reserve and 21 years in the Air Force. He served three tours overseas. He lived in Dale City for 33 years before moving to Dahlgren. During the years he lived in Dale City, he managed two Exxon gas stations, worked in the Tool Warehouse and worked for the Big Lots store in Aquia Harbor. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carol Williams; three children, Cathie, Fred and Frank; five grandchildren, Angela, Darby, Andrea, Jerica and Cody; five great- grandchildren, Amiya, Kylie, Isiah, Gavin and Erin; and one sister, Sharon Morris. Jerry leaves a large extended family, whom he loved deeply. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Mountcastle Funeral Home in Dale City, where a funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
