Garnett Mothershead
Garnett W. Mothershead, 90, of Foneswood went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009. Mr. Mothershead was the widower of Auburn B. Mothershead, and was a retired farmer, an elder emeritus of Ephesus Christian Church, and served with the Farmers Home Administration for a number of years. He is survived by a son, Gerald W. Mothershead and his wife, Susan; a daughter, Ellen Martin and her husband, Bill, of Montross; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great- grandson. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Ephesus Christian Church, Foneswood, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at the Montross Chapel of Welch Funeral Home.
