busted it. or just google it.
you can throw a cigarette in a cup of gas and it will extinguish it. yes, the movies do lie. the vapor has a lower ignition point due to the oxygen levels in the air as well but in a ventilated area...like anywhere outside...no worries for vapor either. you can smoke all you want at a gas station safely...be careful when you light the cigarette though, a lighter will light it
a cigarette? I dunno about you guys but for me the pucker
factor goes way, way UP! I usually leave.
Are you trying to tell me that the scene in "Payback" where Mel Gibson took out the mob guys by dropping his cigarette on to the leaking gasoline was a fraud??? Why do they have so many "No Smoking" signs at gas stations then?
the ignition point for gasoline is higher than a cigarette emits. in an open area it's nearly impossible to ignite the vapor either, which is the only threat a cigarette poses.
