UNO CHICAGO GRILL CLOSES IN SPOTSY

The Uno Chicago Grill in Spotsylvania County's Southpoint II shopping center closed Tuesday after nearly four years of operation.

The restaurant "just couldn't buck the tide" of a weak economy, said Rick Hendrie, senior vice president of marketing for the Boston-based Uno Chicago Grill. "This is something that nobody likes to do."

Bad service (posted by JRC1 , Dec. 16, 2010 1:21 pm)    0 likes
The last time I was there, the service was horrible and they tried to serve cold pizza to my daughter. Then they had the nerve to offer us a free dessert - really do you think I want anything else after the poor treatment? I think that's why they closed - not the economy. Funny how all the good food establishments are still in business...

$$$tres expensive DC prices in Fredericksburg (posted by WoodinVirginia , Feb. 14, 2010 1:49 pm)    0 likes
Now the food was Good , Pizza was comparable to Armand's up in DC but the price was also a DC level price for Pizza too. Was wondering how long it would last... the beers were 5.00 for Coors Light? Huh? You gotta be kidding me & that was a draft at happy hour.. Guess you found out that wasn't going to make it in a weak economy. Also a lot of competition when Applebees has a 2entrees for $20 special on. Sorry to c u go

Funny, those here that ate at UNOs (posted by leclare , Jan. 15, 2010 8:57 pm)    0 likes
had nothing good to say about their food and prices. Yet, others blame Obama for the closing and one says that Bush was not what the whole world knows him to be. Of course, Obama was to blame for the bad pizza--it was Chicago, so blame the Chicago black guy for everything, from wasting help on Haiti to trying to waste money on a better healthcare bill than we'll ever get. If my mind didn't need the exercise, I'd never respond to such idiocy.

after awhile, it becomes very apparent what the anti-Bush chants are about (posted by AtackDuck , Jan. 15, 2010 3:03 pm)    0 likes
and it's not policy and not policy statements. It's an attack on the man... thinly veiled ... but on target... To some folks, it's clear, they don't consider him "one of us" and as such, in their minds, he can never be a legitimate President so the strategy is to concoct any and all negatives, whether they are true or not and use them as a steady drumbeat against him. Over time.. more and more people are going to realize that that is what much of this is about.... and recognize it for what it is. HAHAHAHA

Ive ate there, and the ones back in Chicago (posted by Jaes , Jan. 14, 2010 8:51 pm)    0 likes
the food at this one sucked to put it lightly. I blame the management for letting the cooks bring it down.
