Sen. Stuart stands up for American patriots

Hurrah for state Sen. Richard Stuart ["Bill may help flag fliers," Jan. 15].

How proud I am to embrace our own "homegrown" patriot from Westmoreland County, where our struggles against British tyranny began more than 200 years ago.

Once again we are in a struggle to keep our rights and freedoms from being taken from us. It is heartening to have a senator with the courage to say "no" to those who would take away our liberty, bit by bit.

Thanks to Sen. Stuart for submitting the bill giving us the right to fly our nation's flag. It will be interesting to see who opposes this bill. Patriots, take notice.

Dorothy Langmack

Oh, puhleeezze, AtackDuck, that last response of (posted by Lobo , Jan. 28, 2010 3:32 pm)    0 likes
yours was sooo seventh grade it's pathetic. My intention wasn't to insult anyone so if the word "whine" is what's got your panties in a bunch scratch it out and substitute the word "complain" for it. Either one works for me. Once you've done that stop and consider the fact that ~you just said you agree with me ~ that contracts ought to be honored. Which is my entire point. If they were honored, as they should be, we wouldn't even be having this discussion and you wouldn't be issuing childish taunts. Grow up

I disagree; it is fortunate that freedom comes with responsibilities, otherwise it has no value. I do agree that contracts should honored, however what is the reason for you to insult those who do not believe the contracts are, or should be binding? You are very brave on the net, are you brave enough insult one of those who would fly the flag, to their face?

AtackDuck - let me ask you something. (posted by Lobo , Jan. 28, 2010 9:56 am)    0 likes
Did anyone force these acknowledged "Heros" to move into these covenant restricted communities? Did any one force these "Heros" to sign the covenants agreeing to abide by the rules contained in those covenants? Now, this part may come as a surprise to you but the Freedom these Hero's fought to preserve applies to Home owners Associations to make these rules just a much as it applies to these "Hero's" to make the decision to agree to them, or not. Unfortunately, freedom comes with responsibilities.

Go on over that whiner?s house, Lobo (posted by AtackDuck , Jan. 27, 2010 6:57 pm)    0 likes
Tell him what a whiner he is to his face. I?m sure you are big enough to tell a man who was awarded the Medal Of Honor, just how much you respect his sacrifices, so that you can tell him off. Yes, go tell all of the veterans what whiners they are and how you appreciate their sacrifices for YOUR freedoms. Don?t forget to visit the ones at Arlington and tell them too, what whiners they were.

When I applied for my passport to leave suddenly if I have to (posted by Guderian , Jan. 27, 2010 2:56 pm)    0 likes
I had to GIVE them a copy of my birth certificate along with the fee and the application. I told them I had to look for it, but my Mother was with me and she was at that happy event. Would you believe those miscreants would not accept my Mom's word that she gave birth to me. I am shocked!
