Ribbon-cutting for Spotsylvania hospital is June 7 Date published: 2/2/2010 By Jim Hall NEW SPOTSYLVANIA HOSPITAL IS ON TRACK TO ADMIT ITS FIRST PATIENT ON MAY 24 Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center will be ready to open in less than four months. Tim Tobin, chief executive officer, said last week that the HCA hospital will take its first patient May 24 and host a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 7. The 126-bed hospital is off Interstate 95 in the Massaponax area. The extension of Spotsylvania Parkway across the interstate will be the main entrance to the hospital and should be ready in March, Tobin said. Hospital Drive, which connects the property to U.S. 17, is expected to be ready in April. The hospital has hired many of its executives. It is hiring clinical and support staff now. More than 150 job openings, for everything from plumbers to pharmacists, are posted on its Web site. --Jim Hall
My son was rushed there from work. The paramedics at his job did an ekg and noted he had an irregular heatbeat. We sat in the empty waiting room for an hour! Not the 12 minute wait time they claim...and no they were NOT busy. We then spent another 2 hours in the back. The doc came in once said they were going to run tests. ALL they did was a chest xray! Then doc came back in and said we can't find anything wrong and released him. And I thought MWH was bad....I would NEVER go to this hospital again.
Finally some well needed competition for MWH!
