Fredericksburg girl is page in state Senate

Brittany Dawn Bolick of Fredericksburg is serving as a page in the state Senate during the current term of the General Assembly.

Bolick, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Bolick and a student at Chancellor Middle School, was appointed by Sen. Edd Houck, D-Spotsylvania.

Pages and messengers will serve through the end of the session, March 13.

Duties include running errands for the senators and clerk's office staff, collating and filing bills, and helping committee clerks with staf-fing meetings.

While in Richmond, pages are responsible for maintaining their schoolwork. A mandatory two-hour study session is provided on Monday through Thursday evenings.
