In a bad month in a tough year, it's a perfect time to ask readers for lists of Gripes and Grins

I'll welcome unique or special tales of those, but let's also focus on other things in life that make you smile.
To get you going, here's two short ones from me.
My gripe: People who think the "Please don't use cell phones to text!" admonitions during movies doesn't apply to them.
In a show the other day, I watched no fewer than six folks pull out their phones to send or read text messages.
They were easy to spot in the dark theater, where a phone's light is a beacon of distraction.
My grin: the folks who greet me each time I visit my local bank. There's not a time when they don't have a smile, a personal greeting or kind words to share. Yes, it's their job to do that. But the pleasant, personal touch is still welcome, and not something
