Interstate 95
Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; crews will be replacing guardrail on I-95 northbound between Exit 118 (State Route 606/Thornburg) and Exit 126 (U.S. 1/Spotsylvania). Motorists may be periodically restricted to two lanes in the work zone.
State Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue ongoing construction)
Motorists are reminded that Bragg Road between State Route 3 and the entrance to Central Park is an active work zone. Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment in the area and be prepared for changes in traffic patterns within the work zone. The Bragg Road entrance to Giant remains open only to right turns in and out.
FREDERICKSBURG
Kenmore Avenue
Beginning Monday the intersection of Kenmore Avenue and Hanover Street will be closed to traffic. Crews will begin work to replace the sewer line at the intersection. This work is in connection with the Kenmore Avenue Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement Projects. Motorists traveling on Kenmore Avenue or Hanover Street should follow the designated detour signs.
KING GEORGE COUNTY
Harry Nice Bridge (U.S. 301)
Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on the bridge. Crews will be conducting routine bridge inspections. Trucks more than 11 feet wide will be prohibited during work hours. Drivers with oversize vehicles should contact the Maryland Transportation Authority at 301/259-4444 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to schedule an escort appointment time.
