John R. Labyack
John Robert Labyack, 68, of Mine Run departed this life Saturday, March 6, 2010, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Jane E. Gover Labyack; his daughter, Margaret Labyack Evans of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a son from a former marriage, John "Butch" Labyack of Jim Thorpe, Pa., and a brother, Robert Labyack of Lehighton, Pa. Mr. Labyack was born in Jim Thorpe to the late Margaret Bennick Labyack and John Labyack. He was an excellent automotive technician his entire life, and he recently retired from Battlefield Ford in Culpeper. Mr. Labyack enjoyed boating, fishing and gardening. He was a handyman who took pride in building his own home and making furniture. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by his family. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at Johnson Funeral Home, 31440 Constitution Highway, Locust Grove. Online condolences may be made at johnsoncares .com.
