Judy Hample's entire "tenure" at the University of Mary Washington has been a "sabbatical" ["Hample leaving UMW post early," March 8].

The board of visitors should have suggested something different for her last three months--like going to work.

The board's decision reminds me of a band that I once played in. We were so awful that the owner of the club actually paid us to stop playing.
