election CHAMBER PICKS NEW PRESIDENT The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce board yesterday voted unanimously to appoint Susan Garnett Spears as chamber president. She had been acting president for four months, and a vice president responsible for several of the chamber's key initiatives for six years. "The Military Affairs Council and Leadership Fredericksburg have both seen tremendous success due directly to Susan's leadership of the process," said Chairman Woody Van Valkenburgh. --Cathy Jett
