Ball's 'grease gun': Her weapon of choice
The old saying goes "Truth is the first casualty of war." Unfortunately, this applies to many modern political campaigns, such as Krystal Ball's. It appears that Ms. Ball realizes that she cannot successfully challenge Rep. Rob Wittman by honestly discussing and debating issues, so she has resorted to worn-out political tricks of deception and distortion. Despite an FLS editorial calling Ms. Ball out for "greasy deception" for her first political mailer, her second mailer again contains more deliberate distortions. This one claims Rep. Wittman votes against veterans. Don't you believe it! As a veteran who closely follows what Congress is doing regarding veterans' and military issues, I can assure you that Rob Wittman is a leader in the House when it comes to supporting veterans, our military, and their families. Rob works tirelessly to ensure that veterans and service members receive the benefits they have earned. Rep. Wittman serves on the Armed Services Committee, and is the ranking Republican on the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, which has jurisdiction over all military health care programs. In this position, Rob has fought to protect TRICARE to make sure veterans and our military receive the health care they need and deserve. I encourage all voters to visit Rep. Wittman's website to check the official record. Perhaps Ms. Ball should do the same. Mark Cole Spotsylvania The writer is a Navy veteran
The way the DNC, DCCC, DSCC and their allies in the MSM have distorted this issue is actually comforting. It shows how desperate they are becoming day by day. They have failed to paint the Tea Party movement as racist, and have failed to cast all Republicans with a wide one-size-fits-all stripe. Reagan had it right-all politics ARE local. I refuse to believe the voters of the 1st district will throw away a proven leader at the local, state and national level in favor of a neophyte.
"Mr wittman is absolutely concerned with our veterans and if you think he's not you are blind"
Is he now, how do you take his NO vote out of context when he votes against providing health care to first responders of 9/11?
Worthless piece of trash
Way to go Rob Wittman for voting NO for the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010. A bill to provide health care to the hero's of 9/11
Rob Wittman is a piece of TRA[*#@!]

posters keep saying Wittman this and Wittman that but never state any specifics. Ball's campaign is getting the real facts out about Wittman and his awful anti everything record. Good for Ball's campaign... a truth squad on Wittman's record because he will not tell you.
