July 31: FCHC Twilight 5K run, 7:30 p.m. at Spotsylvania Courthouse Village. Cost: $21 ($24 on race day). Register: racetimingunlimited.org. Aug. 5: FARC 5K cross country fun run, 6:30 p.m. at Pratt Park. All ages are welcome. Cost is $2. Information: Call 907-0332. Aug. 6-9: Fredericksburg Open tennis tournament at the University of Mary Washington. Singles, doubles and mixed doubles offered. Non-sanctioned event. Cost: $25 for singles, $30 for doubles teams (you may only enter two events). Registration closes Aug. 4. Information: Patrick Catullo, 540/295-9598 or Aug. 7: Dahlgren Heritage Rail Trail ultradistance run, 6:30 p.m. at Caledon Natural Area, King George. Cost: $79 until July 10, $88 thereafter. Register at racetimingunlimited.org. Aug. 22: Capital Ale House 10-Miler at Hartwood, 7 a.m. at Curtis Park. Cost: $25 for FARC members, $30 for others (add $5 after Aug. 12). Register at racetimingunlimited.org. Sept. 12: Grace Oughton Memorial 5K run, 8:30 a.m. at Patriot Park in Spotsylvania. Cost: $25 until Aug. 21, $30 thereafter ($35 on race day). Also a 1-mile Fireman's Chase at 9:30 (cost $15/18/20). Register at racetimingunlimited.org. Sept. 17: Stafford Crime Solvers golf tournament, 1 p.m. at Cannon Ridge Golf Course. Cost $100 per player ($380 per team). To register, go to golfcannonridge.com and click on "Tournament Registrations". Sept. 30: LOW LGA Susan G. Komen Rally for the Cure golf tournament, 8 a.m. at Lake of the Woods. Cost: $45 for advance registration and $20 green/cart fee day of the event.
