Lydia K. Connelly

Lydia Kelly Connelly, 94, of Fredericksburg died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at her residence.

Mrs. Connelly was the widow of Richard Franklin Connelly, who passed in January 1987.

She worked at the Public Works Department at Dahlgren, retiring in the '70s.

Survivors include her daughters, retired Lt. Col. Vivian Connelly of Fredericksburg and Felicia Cox and her husband, Richard, of Fallston, Md.; three granddaughters, Lydia Diklich and her husband, Donald, Donna Sue Cox, and Amy Phillips and her husband, Brett; and one great-grandson, Julian Cox.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, in Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Nancy Compher officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 30, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, and one hour prior to the service Saturday morning at the funeral home.
